New Partition?

I have a new 160Gb WD drive. It was added as a second drive. I want to
move the operating system (WinXP Pro) from the old drive to the new drive.
I just decided to do this and unfortunately I already have a lot of data on
the new drive. I used BootItNG to resize the single partition on the new
drive in hopes of cloning the original drive ( and operating system ) to the
new partition so I can boot from the new drive.

Now that I have restarted the PC, the new drive shows the smaller partition.
However, I don't see the new partition. Have I only resized the existing
partiton and failed to create the new partition? If so, how do I go about
creating the new partiton so that I can clone the original drive to it?

Ok, think I got it. I guess I resized the existing partition but hadn't
created the new one. I got it showing up now.

Using Ghost 2003, should I just clone the original drive ( single
partition ) to the new partition? As long as I set it to boot from the new
partition and it works, I should be OK and can delete the stuff from the
original drive. I guess in the name of performance, I should also have the
op sys in the beginning of the drive, meaning I should actually move my data
on the new drive from the resized partition to the new partition and then
clone the old drive to the original partition on the new drive. I can then
decide whether I want to keep 2 partitions on the new drive or move the data
to the original partition and delete the 2nd partion and resize the
original.

Am I on track and thinking correctly? Any suggestions?
