Jim Eshelman

I would like to announce a new page on my web site:

TROUBLESHOOTING WINDOWS
Zero in on the Problem
http://aumha.org/win4/a/tshoot.htm
http://aumha.org/win5/a/tshoot.htm

The page gives ten primary troubleshooting strategies that should be helpful
in a large majority of Windows and application problem situations. In other
words, it's the sort of thing that I personally rely on 80% of the time --
both on the newsgroups and for the 6,000 users I serve at work -- to define
a problem and zero in on what's going on.

Perhaps some of these points will be of value to some of you visiting these
newsgroups looking for answers -- and, maybe even more so, those of you who
are here offering help in finding those answers.

Enjoy!

Thanks, Jim ... great info, as always ...
now to get the users to read it ;)

Very cool addition to your troubleshooting site, Jim. Thank you!

Thank you for responding Mow. With the current server problems, the original
message was missing on mine. Is there any mow good info that I may have missed?
:-)

Mow, since I have you hear, let me be among the first to congratulate you
heartily for a well-earned honor that I see you aren't mentioning yet. :))

George .... news ? I'm dizzy from the servers and have become
disoriented, which means it's sorta like the 60's but all natural .
Or, sorta natural but more like the 60's. Ya catch me drift, laddie ?

Thanks, Jim ... you helped start me down the road with all your
excellent advice and tips . Am a tad confused on this...

Steve Wechsler MS-MVP ( Windows Server Systems -Windows Servers )

but think it refers to Windows Updates assistance. Now, if you'd like
some real confusion, head on over there !

Remember it well. I'm not sure I'm out of that fog yet.

Would you believe that this post just showed up at my end now. My last reply to
it must have been clairvoyant.
