New/old OS install on sony laptop???

I want to do a new XP install on my Sony laptop that came
with XP preinstalled. I just want to get a total new fresh
start on my computer a new slate so to speak. Anyway I
currently have a C & D drive. Will my XP CD that came with
my laptop redivide my hard drive into a C & D
automatically or will I have to do that after installing
XP? Just wondering because I like it the way I have it.

You have a partition. You will have the choice to
partion the drive again. Becareful because if you delete
the wrong partition first you will have a very difficult
time. It is not too difficult just a little tricky the
first couple of times.
