I,m running windows XP with nvidia geforce 3 ti-200 and installed latest
53.03 drivers, (love the newer resolutions). Problem is my Dvd stopped
showing a picture. It plays audio cd,s and cd roms but no picture on dvd.
I,m running Power dvd to play the dvd,s. Do I need to get another dvd
driver? (I lowered the color rez. also the screen rez. and mhz, to no
avail.) thanks for any help!!!

My guess is it's fubared the video codec PowereDVD was using,
have you tried reinstalling PowerDVD to see if it fixes the
problem?

What's this doing in the Ati newsgroup anyway ?

I didn,t try to reinstall power yet, I wasent really sure what direction to
take, thanks Lithurge / Dirk, sorry for posting on the wrong group, I just
searched for vidoe cards and clicked on the first on I saw,,

Does it really matter?

Well, in a Nvidia group there would have been more answers probably.
Personally I couldn't answer anything Nvidia, because I went straight from
3dfx to Ati and never had anything Nvidia. Other than that it of course
doesn't matter.

Get an Ati card. Drivers are stable and all visual features are enabled,
unlike the garbage that Nvidia puts out.

I had the same DVD problem and as I recall it was specific to one driver
version only. Try a newer or older version and you should get your DVD back.

I use both nVIDIA and ATI and each has its good and bad points but neither is
"garbage".
