is it true that there is no newsgroup for Vista as of right now?
there is one email thread in Google Group but it looks like it is

that's strange. for some reason if i use Google Groups, i can find
all the win xp newsgroup but none of the vista groups. a search for
"vista" or "microsoft.public.windows.vista.general" yields nothing.

Then don't use Googlegroups - set up OE as your newsreader and use the news
server msnews.microsoft.com....

Google's approach to newsgroups is completely incompentent. It doesn't
surprise me in the least if they have great swathes of usenet missed out.

Just walk down the tree, there are 11 entries under
All groups > USENET > microsoft . public . windows . vista
