We've brought in a Temp to begin populating information for a new database.
Unfortunately, despite assigning her a username and password from within
Access, She's unable to access the file. An error states that either someone
else has currently has exclusive rights to the database or she has
insufficient rights to access the file.

Oddly, if she logs into our Windows Network using my WINDOWS ID or another
Access User's Windows ID, she CAN log into the Access database using her
Access Username/ID. It seems that Access isn't accepting her RIGHTS due to
her Windows identity. Does this make sense? ANy suggestions?

Sounds like her Windows permissions for the file are wrong. A user must
have full permission to the forlder where the database lives. If she is the
first to open it, she must be able to create an LDB file in that folder. If
someone else is in it, she must be able to modify an existing LDB file. If
she is the last one to close the database, she must be able to delete the
LDB file.

As posted hundreds of times in the newsgroup, a user needs full windoes
access to the folder in order to use a Microsoft Access database.

Please read the many previous posts if you need more details.
