Hi there,

I'm looking for a short list (with description!) of the new namespaces in
the .NET framework 2.0.

Thanks,
Urs

Hi James,

Thank yor four your link.I realized that 2.0 (1.2) is not yet complete. Any
way:
Further question:
Are really all this new Namespaces belongs to the new version of the .NET
framework? Perhaps, my question was not cleare enough:
I'm looking for all new namespaces (with short description) which are usable
with the now available OS's (W2k, XP) and not the new one for Longhorn.

Thanks,
Urs

That is not available as the .NET Framework 2.0/Whidbey is not public at
this point.

Hello Urs,
..NET framework?

As you know, the next version of .NET Framework is not released and we may
change the new Namespaces in the current build of .NET Framework 1.2
(http://www.winfx247.com/247reference/__library/Fx/1.2.30703.0). As far as
I know, there may not be a big change though.

In addition, the next version of .NET Framework supports current OS say
Win2K, WinXP. That is, the new namespaces should be usable on those systems.

Please feel free to let me know if you have any problems or concerns.

Hi,

OK, I understand. It seems that it's really to much early for this question.
Just one last:
Avalon is the new presentation subsystem in Longhorn, right?
This means that Avalon is not available for W2k or WinXP, right?
In this case, the namespaces MSAvalon.* are not available for W2k and WinXP
systems, right?
Are there any other namespaces first introducing with Longhorn?

Thanks,
Urs

Yes, that's all true.

There are bound to be many. The most important (along with Avalon) are
likely to be to do with WinFS and Indigo.
