new music files will not play in power point

I have added music file to several pps shows with no problem. In trying to
put a new music file in a pps show today I can get the speaker icon but when
I click play nothing happens. I have tried several different tracks and it is
always the same. I can not use the play CDtrack option as I want to send the
finished pps show to some one out of town on a seperate CD.
 
What type of music file are you trying to insert?
