Aopen Ak77 600GN Motherbaord. Where do you connect the internal PC speaker to
on the motherboard (on board graphics card) Also what does the small wire
connected from the CD ROM to the CD IN part of the motherboard serve a purpose
for. I only have one of these wires and I am installing two CD Rom Drives to
two different computers, so is it really necessary?

Only if like me you like to control the volume of one of your cdrom
drives for Audio output via the analogue cable about which you speak.
As of later versions of Windows Media Player and or WinXP
the audio output was change to digital thru' the IDE cable.I don't
like this as it means that the .wav volume now controls the Cd audio
volume as well and I like my CD volume set different to the .wav
files. It can be changed in the Device Manager/Cdrom section or from
Windows Media Player IIRC.

If you are using Windows XP you do NOT have to connect the audio cables from
the CD-ROMs to the CD-In on the motherboard. The sound travels over the
data wire in XP.
