New monitor

I'm trying to connect new monitor to my computer and I'm
getting a blank screen. I try to boot in safe mode but,
I get a black screen that becomes unresponsive. I re-
connect to my old monitor and everything is fine.
(display is perfect.) anyone have the answer to fix?

you should try the new monitor on different computer
or may be you are not plugging the right way in your display card.

Your display resolution may be set too high, or out of range, for
your new monitor to display. While using the monitor that does
work, change your screen resolution to something low, like
800x600.

Shut down, connect the new monitor, and restart the computer.
Does it work now?

If it still does not work, you might want to bring the monitor
back for a replacement.
