New Mobo, Old Disks

I have a PC with an ECS K7S5A mobo, which seems pretty problematic to me. I
have 2 Maxtor disks, purchased between 1.5 and 2 years ago.

If I get a new mobo, do most of them only use SATA, and will that not
support my current disks? I was reading in a previous thread that I might
have to buy some adapters. I would probably just get new disks, if that's
the case.

I have the board and most niggles have been fixed and covered on here,

Thanks. I've had conflicting advice on updating the BIOS. Should I upgrade
the BIOS to the very latest for the board, or only to the BIOS that equals
the date of my board? I did the latter, but I suspect I just overwrote the
BIOS with the same code.

I use the HoneyX O/C BIOS as these are better than the ECS ones.

Depending on your board revision/type I have burnable .iso images for
flashing the BIOS.

I'm running the OC030327
BIOS on my none,"Pro" board.
