whats up with that...K7som+ mobo.
Anybody no how much of a performance whack it'll be if I get a PCI vid card
over the AGP slot.
Or should I just get another mobo with AGP..
CS is my game of choice.

if you are buying new mobos i would strongly suggest getting one with PCI
Express and not AGP, its the next big thing and available now, there are
already cards with the pci express on the market the best of which is the
X800 XT PE.

If you only play CS, an Ati 9200 or an nvidia FX5200 will suit fine...

CS is hardly to be called an "advanced" game after all.

But if you wish to play more games, ... I think a mobo with AGP might give
you allot of benefit, something like a simple AsRock ( Asus own B-branch )
will probably be just right!

AGP is mandatory -pci gfx cards are not easy to get.
For CS get a ecs k7s5a and a geforce 4 ti 4200
k7s5a is about 10€, the 4200 about 50€,
alternatively you can get an asrock mobo,
when you want a bit more

cheers
