See my reply to your earlier post that I sent FIFTEEN minutes before this
one....
 
Resize your new message window and then close it using the X in the corner
and it should stick.

Thanks Gordon ...not what I am asking for I don't want the tabs and ribbons
minimzed. When I open up the new message screen the tabs and ribbons are
much larger in size than the home Outlook screen. I want both screens to be
same font size

Try using Control+Shift+X to see if it works then.
