New message not showing contacts in 'To' field

G

Gdaymate

Upgraded from Outlook on XP to Outlook 2003 on Vista Home Premium (keeping
the older format of .PST file format).
Everything now works except:
When i create a new message and click on "TO" the 'Show names from the' drop
down box only has 2 options:
1.Outlook Address Book (which it says has no entries),
2.Contacts (but only shows the contacts at the top level, without showing
any of the subdirectories under it.
I've tried in Tools.options.email accounts. to remove the address book, then
reboot and re-add it, to no effect.
Any other suggestions most welcome.

"subdirectories?"
Do you mean other Contact Folders?
If so, enable each as an email address book using the Properties of the
Folder.
