New message envelope not in taskbar anymore

When I would get new mail an envelope would appear in my taskbar to let me
know I had a new message. It is not there anymore. Is there a way to restore
this?
Running XPP with Office XP 2002. Thanks!
 
Make sure it's not hidden; expand your Notification Area to make sure.

If it is not hidden check the following option;
Tools-> Options-> tab Preferences-> button E-mail Options-> button Advanced
E-mail Options-> options Show an envelope...
