New Messag Icon not displayed in system Tray

And yes.. I've gon into

Tools > Options > E-Mail Options > Advanced E-Mail Options >

and have triple checked that

[x] Show an envelope icon in the system tray

is checked. It's so annoying.. i keep the sound down on my computer
usually, and sometimes don't even think to check the mail.

Grrrrr ideas anyone?

Got Windows XP? Make sure the icon isn't hidden.
