for the last few weeks some meeting invitations have been posted to a
calendar in my personal floders creating two calendars. How do I prevent
this directing all meetings to the default calendar?

New meeting invitations should be going to your default calendar. For OL
2002/2003 (you don't state your version), click Tools>E-mail Account>Next
and examine the "Delivery new e-mail to the following location" drop-down at
the bottom left. The folders listed there should be your default folders.

Thank you Brian. OL 2003 & the only account is Exchange Server. I have set
up inbox to route to personel folder for messages and has been fuctionaing
fine for a year. The meeting posting to a calander in personel folder just
started recently

If you have:

1. A rule moving messages from this sender to Personal Folders, and
2. Automatic processing of meeting/appointments

this is the expected behavior, at least for Outlook 2000

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. All
unsolicited mail sent to my personal account will be deleted without
reading.

After furious head scratching, Ron Jon asked:

Well, the only rule is to have messges from the excahnge server sent to a
folder in the personel folders group. Sicne this rule has been in place for
many months, I canont attribute the rule to the recent behavior.

Did you check the drop-down I mentioned?

Ron Jon said:
Yes there is only "exchange server" as the default account

That drop-down will never contain the words "exchange server". It will
contain "Mailbox - your name" (or something similar) or "Personal Folders".

You are correct I referenced the wrong window. The account being pointed to
is the "server account" i.e my name and account number; what IS NOT selected
is "personel folders" or "Archieve">

Well, then, I'm stumped. Perhaps someone else will be able to sort it out.
Sorry.
