No way - they would have to put that in their ads if that was the
case.
I just went back to the "Choice" offer and there is only one(1) place to
click(The 35mm SLR SCAMera). You can track your rebate where you get to
enter your tracking number emailed to you but you get sent back to where you
started. It is very tricky reading with a small note at the bottom that says
all selections are final. If this is the case I am EXTREMELY disappointed as
I have dozens of Maxtors in use right now. I will admit I am happy with each
one but this Rebate thing is just getting a little out of hand.
I had the samething with Hemera clip art. Instead of the check they
put an option to send the check back and you got another box of clip
art for xx% off.
You send them a check and get it back? Nice, now they have all the info
they need to add this to the list of others they have compiled. Like calling
to register not to get calls
Like answering email to not to get anymore

If something goes wrong - and there isnt a clear reason why you should
be screwed out of a rebate - complain and threaten to sue or go to the
BBB. Ive started getting a mass of rejects which = hundreds of
dollars. In the past Ive gone through the hassle and straightened them
out so it works. Lately Ive been overwhelmed by the rejects and didnt
keep all the documents for all the little stuff so Im screwed but I
noticed at all the deal sites they got screwed lately too and they all
complained and called and got their rebates. Those who go through the
hassle usuallly do.
Like when I listened to BEST BUY sales girl that SWORE I would a free
LARGER battery for my Somy Camcorder then when I tried to get more than a
cleaning for my $100+ I called their 800 number to be told that girl was
WRONG.
Im being more cautious now though. Cutting back on only stuff I need
and keep immaculate records.
Only buying stuff I need? Now that would be a novel idea
I have every
receipt since my first debit card issue years ago I just don't want to
look
When you indiscriminately buy tons of small doodads you can get
screwed royally cause its too diffcult to remember all the details and
keep all the documents.
I can't help thinking of this WWF Digital Camera(TOY) I bought on sale 4 or
5 years ago that costs me $20 marked down from $79.95. I still see it in a
local store called BIG LOTS for 10 or 20 bucks. Crazy!!
