New Mail but no mail?

Just recently, windows mail says I have 1 new email message in my folder, but
all are opened and read. I decided to delete all of my emails just to try and
get rid of that new mail icon, but it still shows as having 1 new email. I'm
stumped, does anyone have this problem or know how to fix it?

Uncheck Group messages by conversation.
 
Huh? View/Current view, uncheck group messages by conversation? Well, that
isn't checked to begin with. I clicked to check it, then unchecked it for the
heck of it, but still no change.
