new load xp pro

when i try and load xp pro on new hard drive get to about
10-14% files copied then get cannot load file ---- all
types of files, tried two other xp disks both same tried
different hard drive and cd rom the same HELP please

Is this an upgrade to an existing system or a clean install?

In either case, make sure you disable any antivirus detection routines,
whether it is Win-based or BIOS-based.

Greetings --

Problems copying files or corrupted files during installation are
most often caused by defective or sub-standard hardware; in order of
likelihood, either RAM, the hard drive, or the motherboard. On much
less frequent occasions, a bad CD or defective CD drive can also cause
this.
