I recently purchased a Viewsonic 17" lcd monitor,
excellent by the way, but what do I have to do to get the
best picture? When I play dvd's its somewhat blurry and
streaming video is to. Do I have to install a better
graphics card? I have an;
NVIDIA Vanta/Vanta Lt
Dac type: Integrated RAMDAC
Approx total memory 16.0mb
Display mode; 1280x1024 (32 bit) (60hz)
Monitor; Viewsonic VP171B
Updated driver 10/6/2003
Any suggestions?

Their is a fix for this somewhere on the m/s site "clear
picture something" I'm sorry that this wont be of much
help to you. The fix was designed for lcd monitors

Would it be Clear Type that you were fishing for?
If so, right click on the desk top, select properties,
click the appearance tab, click on the effects tab,
put a check mark in the "use the following method
to smooth edges of screen fonts", then use the pull
down menu and select clear type.

Not sure if that's what you were looking for or not..... :)

Hi,

Yes, buy a new display card at around $100.-
You will see the big difference.
