Cool 'n Quiet is working, it's now constantly running at 800 mHz 8o).
Even after setting the power management to desktop again, and fully load the
cpu, it stays on 800.
Serious underclocking for a 2000 mHz Cpu heh ?
O well, agp aparture size back on 256 again, and it boots, it has some
advantages, the new bios.

Anybody else with the same "speed boost"

Greetings,

Xander

btw, Max Payne 2 looks sweet, with working mirrors!

That's good to hear!

FWIW, was just at amdzone.com and saw this...

Asus SK8N Bios Version 1004_02 Problem
Update: Jason Williams here in Austin has offered to help you out if you
flashed the bios and killed your motherboard. Here's what he says.
I have the ability to flash these chips (out of circuit), if anyone in
Austin needs it done, you can send them my email, and they can get with
me. BIOSworld charges $24 for a new chip, I will do it for free (I am a
nice guy). I guess you can also send my contact to anyone outside of
Austin, but they will have to pay for shipping. I will need Motherboard
MFG, Model, and Rev. numbers.

Contact: Jwilliams118*nospam*@austin.rr.com, or
Jason.Williams*nospam*@ni.com

Cheers,
Ed
