I have an older proprietary application (Lytec Dental software) which I have been running on XP Pro on two systems. I recently configured and installed a third computer. On this machine the Lytec software will not run and I get the "XXX.exe has encoutered a problem" screen. I turned off error reporting to try and get thru the startup but to no avail. On the other installations, I recall the software would report startup errors the first time or two it was launched but "fix itself" on the third or so startup and run thereafter. The new installation will not do this. Is there a way to compare files or registry setting for the different installations to see where the problem is with the new install?
