Anyone found a good, reliable replacement for news.individual.net ??

I've read the posts, just thought I'd ask..

If not, I don't mind paying the €10.00

Cheers

Take a look for "alt.free.newsservers" Here you´ll find a lot of
hints.

You might want to give one of these a try.

news.readfreenews.net (free signup at http://cust.readfreenews.net), where I
believe I'm posting this reply from.

news.sunsite.dk (posting allowed after free registration)
freenews.netfront.net (posting allowed)
gail.ripco.com (I'm using port 120 and I believe no posting allowed)

The above sites requiring registration are only looking for a email location
they can send your new account activation password to. None of them ask for
credit card info.

If you'd really read all the posts, you'd know that the answer is "no."

Try news.aioe,cjb.net and click on the icon at the bottom on the left. I
withced to it yesterday and it works just fine.

news.sunsite.dk

Seems ok
News.sunsite.dk seems to perform registration only with your real email.
What about spam safety ? I am not going to create another email
to registrate and forgot it.

you can try news.x-privat.org (requires registration) or news.aioe.org.
Neither is as good as its predecessor, but it will do, it will do.

Not in my book. Both are abysmally slow. Aioe.org would let me load and
read certain groups, but when I tried to post, told me that "the group does
not exist."

My God, pay the dollar-eight a month and keep speed and dependability.

I'm trying news.readfreenews.net which carries over 30,000 groups and
seems very fast.

Just going to post this and a box comes up saying posting not
allowed..........

We'll see then......... !!

Thanks for the tip. This server is very fast. I've dumped x-privat
and aioe.

The owner is threatening to make it strictly on a donation
basis. He turns the posting/no posting allowed off and on as a
whim.

Really?

And might be gone tomorrow. The owner frequents the free

always threatening to shut it down if he gets one more bad
