This is a new occurrence. Prior to yesterday, all new emails were indicated
by a numerical change on my In Box, even if they were sorted into a Folder.
What's happened?

XP Pro, SR2 ++, OE 6, Office 2003, all updates current (Office updated again
yesterday from MS website); Ad-Aware; Spybot S&D, Windows Firewall ON,
Advast AV. Scan performed last night.

thank you folks.

What email program are you referring to? Outlook Express or, seeing you are
using Office, Outlook? Or is this web-based email?

If you mean Outlook Express 6, post this issue to their specific newsgroup:

Yikes! That was a year ago. I meant to report back to him
but it would have required finding a huge block of time to do the research
since I know absolutely nothing about screen readers.
