new IE window will not open as Maximized

When I use the Open in New Window command in Internet
Explorer, the new window is not use the same view or
layout as the parent window.

MS discusses this in
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-
us;257087 but as usual they don't give an option of what
to do.

I open all the windows to Maximize and then close them
but when I "open as a new window" from NEW IE window,
the same thing happens.

Any ideas? Probably the registry is corrupt but I don't
know enough about this stuff to start fiddling without
help. I have XP so I tried uninstalling IE (which I
noticed is impossible) and then reinstalling it.

Thanks!!

zspira,
Close all instances of Internet Explorer except for one.
Right-click on a link in the page and select: "Open in New Window"
Close the first browser window using the [ X ] (upper right corner)
Resize the second browser window manually by dragging the sides to the
desired size.
Note: Do NOT click the Maximize button, you *must* do it manually.
Hold down the Ctrl key and click the Close button (upper right)
Visit another web site, open a link in a new "window", it should now be the
desired size.
Note: some pop-up browser windows will alter this process if that is the
last one closed.
If that occurs again, you now can resolve this problem.

[Exception]
In some cases the "Remember last window size" info becomes corrupted in the
Registry.

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main]
"Window_Placement"=

Right-click on "Window_Placement" and select: Delete
Note: Remember to Export the key before editing.

When all else fails, paste the below line into Start | Run
javascript:window.open(screen.availWidth,screen.availHeight)

Then make *sure* the above window is the last one closed.
