I am adding things to a web site as I get more information and would like to
somehow point out the latest additions. I have seen a little icon New!
posted over a link to show that new information or files have been added.
How can I do that? FP 2000 ......Millie in KY

Grab a copy of the "New" image,
save it to your images folder and then insert the image
next to your hyperlink.

Millie,

Can you provide us with an example of what you're asking for?

Now I cannot find an example. What I want is a little graphic that says New!
and it would be settled over (sort of on a slant) the link which is to the
new information that has been added. I will keep searching. Maybe I will
come across one.......... Millie

Did you try searching Microsoft's Digital Gallery? They have SCADS of nice
little graphics that incorporate into their ClipArt Gallery nicely.

The problem with resting on your laurels is that eventually you are sitting
on dead branches.

My problem is not having a graphic with New on it. I have that (but also
downloaded the ones at Google, as suggested). What I want to know is how to
get it to position OVER to the link. In Format, position, I can put it to
the right but the link gets out of whack because the links are in a table. I
cannot use Absolute because you never can tell where it will end up when
published. :-) I am going to search again for an example of what I want so
I can show you........ Millie

Found one. http://www.jacquielawson.com/home.asp on the left in the
links.. Perhaps I just need to enlarge the cell a little and put it next to
the link. I have seen them, though, that seem to be off to the right and
slanted a little and seem to hover above........ Millie

Millie,

Never hurts to look at the code. :)

From the page you cited:
<p><a class="menu" href="july4.asp">July 4th&nbsp;<img align="top"
src="images/new.gif" border="0"></a></p>

You could just as easily use a cell instead of a paragraph as she has. The
align="top" is probably what you needed.

I've seen that site before, she does great work.

P.S. If you are a golfer, that new card is a winner.
