Victoria Morgan

I'm running a win2k network with a DNS server on our
network. We recently acquired rights to access another
network through ours and was instructed to make entries to
our DNS server of their particular network. Our Domain is
called "ourdomin.org(psuedonym)" and all dns host name
entries are put under that domain. We were instructed to
put host name entries that ended with the
domain "theirdomain.org" on our dns server. Do we put the
new host files of their network under the "ourdomain.com"
domain or do we make another domain to put them in.
Exactly where do we put the new host files? Thanks in
advance, Victoria Morgan

Create a new zone (under forward lookup zones), call it "theirdomain.org"
and add all the appropriate A records under that zone.
You cannot add them under your current domain/zone since it's a different
domain than your current domain.
