I have an e machines T-1120 PC with Windows XP service pack 2.
Today I purchased a LogiTechChat headset. I plugged the coonectors in the
rear and though I can hear perfectly, no one can hear me.

I have done the following:

1. ensured all connections are correct .
2.ensured headset mic is not muted
3. I also made sure that the volumes on Start/Control Panel/Sounds and
Devices/Volume and Advanced are not muted and at least halfway up
4. Tested the Sound Recorder, and it will not record any voice from the
microphone
5. Ive called Logitech's help center and they say since the microphone is
working (ive tested it on another computer), then they assume it is either a
sound card issue or a driver issue, but won't provide assistance
6. E machines support says this is an accessory which did not come with the
computer so they can't help.
HELP

PLEASE replywith suggestions to (e-mail address removed)

Once again, I can hear others on my headset(earphones), but no one hears me
(microphone)

Are you sure you plugged it into the mic jack and not the
line in?

I have this same exact problem that he is having. But this thread just kinda
ended and I don't know if he has solved his problem or not. Please continue
this because my mic isn't working either, but I can still hear people.

Check the mic plug, most of the times you need a tip and sleeve plug
for sound cards....tip ring and sleeve plugs will only be intermittent
or not work at all, just look and see if the tip is seperated from the
sleeve by plastic ring.
