So over the course of this week I plan on buying to new hard drives for my 'puter. Both will be 1TB in size and more than likely Western Digital. Not sure on which ones yet though
At the moment I have some crappy 500gig drive which I think is on its way out.
Now the reason for my post is, I would like to create an image of this drive so I can install it on one of the new drives without having to do a fresh install. I sthis possible ? And what software to use. I have read a few of you giving Acronis good reviews. Is it easy/simple software to use ?
My reason for wanting to create an image is that I have a lot of programs which were bought from online downloads and I don't have disks for them..Any help and advice would be greatly appreciated.

Download your version. Read. Clone. Do not delete the original till you have tried the new one on the new hdd.
