Hi
Just bought a new 40gb hardrive (ExcelStore j340) to run with my existing
hardrive for storage and was wondering if there is a software etc that will
install it and partition it etc so all I have to do is basically connect it
up...I have a slot and the cables already in the back of my pc ready to do
so.

It's called WindowsXP!

Install the hard drive (getting the jumpers correct at the rear of the
drive) and ensure it shows up in the BIOS.

Start the PC.

Right click on My Computer and select Manage. On the following screen,
select Disk Management.

The drive will now 'appear' on the right hand side of the screen, from where
you can partition it and format it... and then assign it a drive letter.
