Every time I turn on my new computer I get the Windows
found New Hardware Wizard for my Samsung 5100P MFC. The
driver for the hardware is already downloaded and the
printer works fine, but I still keep getting this
message. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the
printer's software, to no availe. I've also tried
deselecting the options in the Wizard but Windows XP will
not let you deselect. I've also tried running the
Recovery CD that came with the computer to try to capture
the .dll file the Wizard keeps telling me it can't find.
I've also made a copy of the SsgMsys.dll file that the
Wizard says it can't find. It starts downloading the file
but won't complete and I get the message download cannot
complete. My last attempt was to reformat the hard drive
and start over reloading WindowsXP. Well, WindowsXP is
not listed in the Add/Remove list and the computer won't
let me reformat from DOS. I've spoken to the computer
manufacturer's technicians and the printer manufacturer's
technicians. All are at a loss. I'm ready to get rid of
WindowsXP and just go back to my Windows98 SE operating
system. WindowsXP is just too problematic. Any
suggestions would help.
Thanks
