New Hardware Wizard Fatal Error

I have a Logitech VX Revolution mouse that I use with my laptop. Up
until about a week ago it was working fine.

Then for no apparent reason (although something clearly changed) the
New Hardware Wizard starting popping up on logon...and failing. The
wierd thing is that the mouse still works just fine - it's just the
Wizard that's having the problem. Even when I open the Mouse in the
Control Panel it says the device is installed and working properly.

Anyone have any clues?

Either system restore or uninstall/reinstall .
