New Hardware Found

I have a broadband connection but XP finds new
hardware (my internal dial-up modem) on start up and
launches Wizard . Iss there any way to stop this hardware
from being found without physically removing it from my
machine ?

Any help would be gratefully received

Let it install the drivers for it. Just because you're not using it right
now, doesn't mean you might not in the future. For example, as a fax
modem.. since you cannot fax through broadband. Or as a back up connection
to the internet, should your broadband fail at some point... and believe me,
it usually does.
