Every time I boot my computer the "New Hardware Found wizard" appears with
an error message that the INF file for the Brother HL1230 printer does not
contain needed information. The printer, however, works perfectly and
passes all the troubleshooting tests. I am using the latest drivers
downloaded from the Brother website. How do I get Win XP Pro SP1 to
recognize that the printer drivers and the utility software are, in fact,
installed?

I have same problem with HP T45 all-in-one. Now have both fax and printer installed on port IEEE1284.4 (which is not where HP told me to install it). Seems (?) to be working fine, but it is aggravating that "New Hardware Found wizard" appears every time I boot up, which means I have to close it every time. Want any info available on making sure XP knows that it is NOT new hardware.
