I am thinking about taking a hard drive out of my old XP machine and
adding it to my new Vista Home Premium. Any comments, do's or don'ts
would be appreciated.
Without knowing anything about either system's hardware components or
your ultimate goal, it's not possible to provide any sort of concise,
definitive answer.
Is the old hard drive SCSI, SATA, EIDE, etc.? Does the new computer
have the appropriate interface to which you can connect the old hard drive?
Is your intent only to access/transfer data from the old hard drive, or
are you thinking of creating a dual-boot configuration?
