I HAVE A NEW 120 GB HARD DRIVE, (SLAVE). I ALSO HAVE A 40 GB HARD DRIVE, (MASTER).

I NEED TO KNOW HOW TO TRANSFER PROGRAMS FROM THE 40 TO THE 120?

First get a keyboard that types in lower case letters.
 
I assume you want the new hard drive to be your bootable 'c' drive when
done.
Power Quest has a program 'Drive Image' that works very well. You must do
the drive to drive copy under the control of a bootable utility program and
not under the Windows operating system. Drive image provides this mode of
operation. After the copying is done, you can make the new drive master on
channel one, bootable as C. . After testing the newly built C drive, you
can format the other drive and use it as a second drive for data or backup
purposes.

You can also try Norton System Works suite. In the Norton Ghost program,
there is an option to "clone" disk or partition.
 
Did you check the box for any cd's? Usually most Hard Drive manufacturer's
have utilities to do just want you want. I just did one last week. It was
a Maxtor and I know Western Digital has utilities also.
