I assume you want the new hard drive to be your bootable 'c' drive when
done.
Power Quest has a program 'Drive Image' that works very well. You must do
the drive to drive copy under the control of a bootable utility program and
not under the Windows operating system. Drive image provides this mode of
operation. After the copying is done, you can make the new drive master on
channel one, bootable as C. . After testing the newly built C drive, you
can format the other drive and use it as a second drive for data or backup
purposes.
