I recently bought a new Western Digital 120GB 8mb cache
Hard Drive. Now for some reason after I format the Hard
Drive through the disk that came with the hard drive and
after ive copied all the files from the old hard drive to
the new one......Windows XP does not load. When XP loads
normally you get the blue screen that says "Welcome".
When I boot from the new hard drive, at the point where
it is supposed to say "Welcome" it says "Windows XP" and
it just hangs there. I tried restarting and that didnt
help. Is there another way of formatting a drive through
XP? What can I do? Any help in this matter would be
greatly appreciated. Thank You.

You probably used Western Dig. utilitys,Lifeguard 10.0
or something similiar. The utility doesnt work with xp,
you get, well as far as you got.Re-install xp from the
cd to the new hd,use the back-up,or file/transfer utility
to save current info.files, etc, set current comp.as old
for file transfer wizard. You should boot from cd,recover,
then format the disk:FORMAT C: /FS:ntfs In recover then
install xp.
