I had a friend install a new hard drive into my computer. The drive status says that it is working properly, but in 'My Computer', I do not see it. I only see the current C:. Is there a way for to get it showing in my computer? If not, how can I find it and save my files on it?

You have to prepare the disk for use...

Right click My Computer.. select Manage..
on the list go to Disk management ... from here you can format and prepare
the disk. Create partition and format as NTFS. There are other options.. but
you probably won't need them

Right click on My Computer and select Manage. On the following screen,
select Disk Management. The drive will show up on the right hand side
provided you installed it correctly.

From the right side of the screen, partition and format the drive, then
assign it a drive letter. No version of Windows Explorer can 'see' an
unformatted drive.
