Just installed a new Hard Drive which is now the Master, and
of course I would like to get my old bookmarks from the previous
installation of IE6.

My old drive (now the slave) contains all my previous settings. Can
one gracefully transfer this information into the new installation of
IE6.

For example, is it a matter of simply copying certain files from the
old drive to the new one? If so, what files (I don't see a
bookmark.htm file)?

Thanks in advance.

*.url files. There are the bookmark files. usually in
%userprofile%/favorites directory.

In IE use File | Import and Export to export your favorites. Then transfer
the HTM file and import it.

IE \ file menu \ import and export
Follow the directions (which also work for cookies)
I'd likely use a floppy as intermediate storage.
