Help! I have been pulling my hair out for a week trying to fine a
graphics card for my Dell 5150C. I recently bought Company of Heroes
but soon found out that my Radeon x600 on my Dell was not up to the
task. I have been searching for a graphics card that will fit into my
5150C, i think its a BTX form factor??

Anyone know of any cards??

Thanks.

Well right now you're running with an integrated graphics adapter, so make
sure you're at the maximum amount of RAM available (128mb)... You have only
one PCI-E slot and one PCI slot in the box.

It's NOT a gaming PC. There are very few PCI-E half height (aka low
profile) cards available on the market, which mostly limits you to the very
slow PCI format.

but Directron do seem to have a few:

None of them are cutting edge products and none are ATI. It's really a
matter that you purchased the wrong PC for the job (gaming).....

I think i have one PCI-E x16 and one x1 slot?? I have a Radeon x600 in
the PCI-E x16 slot i think. Do i have this card and an intergrated
graphics adapter??

Thanks for the links! I didnt buy the machine as a gaming machine
specifically but thought that see its got a 3.2 P4 & 1Gb RAM it should
be able to handle the odd game, obivously not... machine is great and
slim but obviously doesnt allow me to expand it in the future!

I'll keep my eyes peeled for cards.

Thanks again,

Paul

Integrated or not, I don't think any of it matters at this stage. None of
the cards Cari referred to are really any better than the X600. The
half-height form factor severely limits your options. 5150C is just a poor
machine for gaming.

Certain game developers have actually accused Intel of holding back the PC
as a gaming platform by 5-10 years. Intel pitches the CPU as the end-all and
be-all, giving the impression that features like MMX and "Netburst" give
good game performance. The video card ends up being neglected in OEM systems
because it doesn't receive much publicity.
