If have read that the new CompactFramework 2.0 is ready but Microsoft
has called it back. My Question: Does anybody know when the REAL
rollout from the CompactFramework is?
Thx

Version 2.0 of the Compact Framework is still a long way off. See
Microsoft's developer tools roadmap for details of the Visual Studio Whidbey
release due in 2004.
http://msdn.microsoft.com/vstudio/productinfo/roadmap.aspx

..NET Compact Framework 1.0 Service Pack 2 was released and then withdrawn
due to issues and is due to be re-released before the end of the year. This
adds a number of bug fixes and performance increases, along with support for
a few properties such as BackColor on buttons and other controls which
previously could not be customised.

You must have confused with SP2. The current version of
the .NET Compact Framework is 1.0. Earlier this year SP2
was released but it was called back because of some
issues. Right now SP2 is in beta. It is likely that SP2
will be released before the end of this year.
