I'm trying my hand at my first website and there are 2 things I cannot
figure out how to do:

1. There are a few parts to every page in the website that will remain the
same (title graphic, links, etc...) how can I have certain things duplicated
for every page I add. When I copy and paste everything, I end up having to
move the all around to their proper places.

2. One of the pages I have will be a page to get information on 5 different
products. What I would like to do is have the 5 links at the top and when
the link is clicked, only the picture below and the text along with it
change. Instead of creating 5 different identical pages, I thought this
might be easier.

Thanks very much

Here are my suggestions:

Replicating page designs: use shared borders, with your links in a left
border and your title graphic in a top border. Or all of it in a top border.
This saves you the trouble of copying a template, and if you change anything
in the borders, the change goes on all pages sharing the border.

If, for some reason that doesn't work for you, make a page template and just
copy it for every new page. But if you decide to change a design feature
you'll have to change it on every page manually.

Popup picture and caption: This is a classic application of layers. It's too
much to cover here. Look in the Help file. If you're still confused, I
recommend the Que book, "Using Front Page 2003," by Colligan and Cheshire.
Whole chapter on this, with an example just like what you want to do. When
you click the link, a layer containing your picture and caption pops up on
the page.

Alternatively, if you've checked out the problems surrounding use of frames,
put your links in the top frame of a frameset and call each photo/caption
into the main frame. You can position the photo and its caption the same on
every page with just a little care. You'll have to remove the shared borders
if you do this, just on the one page.
