new, forward, and reply are grayed out in Outlook 2007

I just transferred files and settings from a Vista computer to a Windows 7
computer. Outlook looks great. All the e-mail accounts work as expected but
I am unable to create a new e-mail, reply to an e-mail, or forward an e-mail.
I am unable to do any of these by clicking on the bar or going through the
action menu! Also, I cannot create a rule, categorize, or follow up.

Did you activate outlook?

Easy transfer often messes up the profile and we recommend making a new
profile instead of using the one that was transferred.
