New Folder

Can some one please help me.. I click on my new folder icon and is does
nothing..:+(

Okay, so I gather that you have created a new folder using the Windows
Explorer. And you are using Windows XP and the NT File System. And,
you have a regular IDE hard-drive.

You have created a new folder. That's wonderful. What is it that you
expect it to do when you click on it?

A folder has a limited number of functionality options. You can store
stuff in it. You can copy it to another folder. You can move it into
another folder. You can rename it. You can delete it. That is about
all you can do with a folder.

It doesn't seem that MarySNC is aware that a new folder has possibly been
created and where it is/can be located.

In Windows 98 when U go to save something in a folder You can click on the
little new folder icon at the top and it would make a new folder for you
right there in that window.. Now It does nothing there I have to use my
right mouse button to click new folder there..
Thanks for the answers.. I will go read some where else.. I guess that Mary
NSC being a newbie to XP has no place here..

I just want the folder to show up in my window..
I am trying to save things in the window.. I click on my little New folder
Icon and it does nothing..
SO then I have to click with right button on my mouse and make new folder
there..
That is what I am doing with it.
When I down load stuff I like to make it folders..

The folder is probably being added when you click the New Folder icon.
Scroll to the end of the list in the current dialog box (Save, Save As
or Open) and you should see it. In most cases, XP will add new items
to the end of a current list instead of automatically sorting it.
