Is there a keyboard shortcut for new folder? why not?

The contents of the shortcut menu vary depending on where the current focus
is at. If the focus is in a folder area (a folder pane in Explorer or a
Save Dialog for example): pressing the application key, w, f and enter will
create a new folder.

If present, the application key is to the right of the space bar and
between the left Windows key and Ctrl.

Shift+F10 is another shortcut for Context Menu if you don't have
"application" key on your keyboard.

Nice one, though it only works in Windows Explorer window, which has "File"
menu. You wouldn't be able to create a folder on your desktop this way
unless you open %userprofile%\Desktop in explorer window.

My application key (ie. the right click button) is above F9 on my keyboard.
