Hi guys

When I click send in Outlook 2003, the email goes straight
to the Outbox. I order for me to send the email I have to
click the Send/Receive button.

Is this a new feature with Outlook?

Thanks

What kind of mail accounts are you using? How are your send/receive groups configured? Is File | Work Offline turned on?

Its a regular Pop account, and its set online.

Once I highlight the Outbox, the email just stays there no
matter what I do.

I've now discovered if I move the email to the Draft box
and click Send/Receive, the email will be sent. Surely I
must have some sort of problem with Outlook.....

Please answer the other question -- how is your send/receive group set up? If you don't have it set up to get mail automatically at a regular interval, it will only send when you manually do a send/receive.

Sue

Thanks for the tip.

I've marked the box that says Send Immediately, and now its
working.

Much appreciated :-)
