New epson film scanner

Hi,

Has anyone got any further info/links on the newly announced 'Epson F-3200
Multi Format film scanner'? I got a newsletter from UK's 'Digit' magazine,
which had a very brief article about it.

It uses the same lens/sensor as their 3200 dpi flatbeds. No IR, provides
software dust/scratch removal. (This is on their Japanese web site. Should
be up in English shortly, I'd think.)

IMHO, it looks to be not as good as for film, but probably more expensive
than, the 4870, IMHO.

At least it might win the price for the worst looking machine of the year in
its class. Looks like a 60ies/ early 70ies machine...
