New emails not showing up automatically

You can receive an e-mail but it doesn't show
automatically in the inbox. If you click to another
folder than it will appear. Same thing when you send an
e-mail, it holds it in the Outbox until you click another
folder and then sends it. Brand new Dell's with Office
2002 on it. Nothing's changed on the server end that I
am aware - Exchange 2000.
