New Email Set Up

Ok if you cannot use web based email in Windows mail and if really do not
want to use my work email where do I get an email address to use with
windows mail.

it works really well in Vista( at least for me...so, if you have a hotmail
account..you're in!

As Rick already advised you, if you want to use Hotmail you can
upgrade to Windows Live Mail which will give you POP access
to a Hotmail account.

Otherwise, one normally gets an email address from their ISP
(Internet Service Provider), or you can get a free one from Gmail.

Is MSN your ISP?

If you have a normal ISP they usually five a free POP3 or IMAP email account
that you can use in Windows Mail.
